Born in Hualien, Taiwan in 1988, Yi-De Chen received his B.A. and M.M. in Music Composition from the Taipei National University of the Arts. He possesses the membership of Asian Composers League and American Composers Forum.

 

Chen's musical language manifests great diversity, poetic sense and profound spirituality. As the funding recipient of Taiwan Ministry of Culture and National Culture and Arts Foundation, his works were selected to be performed by National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, Asian Composers League, Spring Autumn Music Foundation, Taipei Forum Music, Taichung Society of Contemporary Music, and Dufy Atelier des Musicians & Artists.

 

Che's arrangements, based on Taiwanese indigenous folksongs, Taiwanese folksongs and Hakkanese folksongs, were also performed by Elite Artists Trio, Nan-Yi Musical Theater as well as other accomplished Taiwanese musicians. In addition, he donates his passion by creating original music in collaboration with numerous talented artists. He feels cheerful to make contribution among the society as an influential musician sharing light and joy in the world.
