Lee, Chun Ping is Music Director of Union of Chinese Music Ensemble and Miaoli Chinese Orchestra, and composer-in-residence with Union of Chinese Music Ensemble.

He received his Bachelor's Degree from the Chinese Culture University, and a Master's Degree in Composition from the National Taiwan University of Arts.

Since 1995 he has been very active as a composer, conductor and educator. His works have always reflected the regional culture. For expressing the regional culture, he has been exploring and creating distinctive sound texture. Because of his Hakka background, he is also engaging in composition and research of Hakka music.

Recent commissions have come from the Kaohsiung Chinese Orchestra, Cultural Affairs Bureau, Yilan County and Chinese Music Association.
