Kai-Yue CHEN was born in Taiwan, Taipei in 1970. Mr. Chen is a talented percussionist. As a percussionist, he has traveled with couple orchestra and wind orchestra in USA, South Africa and Asian countries.

He is also a virtuoso composer. His works have been performed and received honors in Taiwan and also abroad. “Nébuleuse” won him the "IXeme Concours International de Composition Musicale de Besancon pour Orchestre Symphonique" award and made him the first Taiwan composer to have ever received this honor.

Mr. Chen graduated from National Taiwan Normal University with a music composition degree. In 1995, he continued his studies in France, and received both certificate and superieur diploma of music composition from Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris within two years. Later in 1999, he received a musical conductor diploma from Conservatoire National de Region de Dijon in recognition of his outstanding academic records.  

Yu-Chou Chen continues to compose and record his new works. His assiduity and efforts have made him one of the youngest and most outstanding internationally renowned composers of our time.
