Chung-Yuan Yu, Taiwanese composer. He has been rewarded in numeral composition competitions and his compositions were performed by outstanding orchestras and ensembles such as Ensemble SurPlus, Formalist Quartet, Reborn-the Voice of Suka, Taiwan Philharmonic Orchestra, National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, Taipei Chinese Orchestra, the Little Giant Chinese Orchestra, Taipei Chamber Singers, the Unique Atayal College.
Chung-Yuan Yu began to study composition at 13 years old, with Ms. Yi-Chun Tung. In 2007 he obtained the bachelor degree of National Taiwan Normal University, where he studied composition with Prof. Gordon Shi-Wen Chin. From 2010 to 2015, he studied at the Universität der Künste Berlin(University of Art Berlin) with Prof. Walter Zimmermann, Anton Safronov and Marc Sabat, graduated from the Meisterschule outstandingly. In January 2019 he participated in the 4th Qigang Chen's Musik Workshop in Gonggeng College, Zhejiang.
