Tsu-Yao Yang, winner of Frederic Mompou International Award, Irino Prize, Concorso Internazionale di Composizion Appassionato Ensemble and International Phil Winsor Computer Music Competition. His works have been performed in Europe, America and Asia, at several festivals such as Gaudeamus Muziekweek, June in Buffalo, Como Contemporary Festival, International Rostrum of Composers, Festival Contrasti, MUSICACOUSTICA-BEIJING. He works with Arditti Quartet, Vertex Sonora, Keuris Quartet, Appassionato Ensemble, Awkas Ensemble, Mise-En Ensemble, etc.
Yang studied composition at Taipei National University of Arts, Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Boulogne-Billancourt, Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Danse de Lyon with Hwang-Long Pan, Jean-Luc Hervé, Philippe Hurel and Martin Matalon. His works and study have been supported by Taiwan National Culture and Arts Foundation and Taiwan Ministry of Education.
