Prof. Chou, Yi-Chien serves as a comtemporary professional in the field of traditional theater studies and composition.
Prof. Chou earned his B.A. from the Department of Chinese Music of National Taiwan Univeristy of Arts, M.A. from the Graduate School of Musicology in Taipei National University of the Arts, and currently studying in the PhD. program of Chinese Literatures in National Central University.
In his former career history, he performed multiple positions, such as the Music Supervisor of Lan-Yang Taiwanese Opera Company, the leading musician of Lu-Guang Chinese Opera Troupe, the Music Director of Holo Taiwanese Opera Troupe, Music Supervisor of Yeh-Ching Taiwanese Opera Troupe, the Music Director of the Taiwan Bangzi Opera Company for National Center for Traditional Arts.
Currently, he is the adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Chinese Music of National Taiwan University of Arts. His wide-ranging productions have been seen in Chinese Music, various opera genres, modern theatre, background msuic for dance theatre, and the cross-border music composition for diverse types of music.
