Taiwanese Composer, Yu-Chun Hu (aka Chloé Hu) has been awarded by Henry Mancini Foundation. The spread of her music includes contemporary, film score, and theatrical sound design. Apart from above, her collaborations with various contemporary artists, designers, and exhibitions are heard around the world.

Yu-Chun began her composition study with Mao-Shuen Chen at the age of fifteen, and received B.A in composition at National Taiwan Normal University in 2001. Eventually, she decided to expand her composition world beyond the concert hall, and began her film scoring studies at New York University where she studied film scoring with Ira Newborn and Ron Sadoff, composition with Pedro Da Silva, and received her master degree in 2008. Later she moved to Los Angeles to extend her career as well as enter her Ph.D program in composition at University of California-Los Angeles, studying composition with Paul Chihara, Ian Krouse, Roger Bourland; film scoring and Musical song-writing with Peter Golub. In summer of 2014, Yu-Chun received her Ph.D.

In 2008, Yu-Chun was admitted into NYU/ASCAP Foundation Film Scoring Workshop in Memory of Buddy Baker with the honored recipient of The Buddy Baker Scholarship.

In addition to her work, Dr. Hu is the founder and Artistic Director of NeoSonance - new music ensemble, the leader/founder of the band Dr. FANCY, and served as chief executive officer of FORMUSIC - Taiwanese Composer Alliance (2020-2022). After teaching at National Dong Hwa University, Soochow University, and National Taiwan Normal University as adjunct assistant professor in Taiwan, Ms. Hu decided to devote herself to being a full-time composer.
