Music commentary
When the ancient Roman Empire was at its peak, it fought against all parts of Europe, and built fortresses, arenas, city gates, towers, etc., and there are still many remains in Europe. Composers have traveled all over France in recent years. In addition to Les Arenes (Arena) in Arles and Nimes in the south, and the famous Pont du Gard (Waterway Bridge) nearby, they often visit other small and large towns to see some of the smaller scales Ruins. In the summer of 2008, the composer traveled to the rich and hilly Burgundy and nearby areas, visiting many Roman ruins, such as the St. German monastery in Auxerre, the Porte Noire (Black Gate) in Besancon, and the Theatre Romain in Autun (Roman Theatre), pierre de Couhard (cemetery) and Porte St. Andre (City Gate), etc., deeply felt the powerful energy and power of ancient Rome, and thought to describe the grand scene at that time with abstract grammar.
