Music commentary
The suite consists of two short songs. In the year of creation (the first edition of 1998), I just returned from Europe to travel, and I have many feelings in my heart. On the one hand, seeing that Europe is waking up from the financial turmoil, many cities that have passed by have slowly started to build, and there is a prosperity everywhere. The consumption situation of the people is gradually showing up. When I returned to Taiwan, I felt a very different cultural atmosphere. Than rises to write this mood. "No. 1": The main material is a self-made, six-tone scale with limited transposition (this scale is not included in the seven scales preferred by French modern master Olivier Messianen), and is written with the differential rhythm commonly used in modern times. "No. 2": It is mainly written in Chinese and Gypsy scales to describe the gentle and elegant oriental culture and its feeling of being shocked by the West.
