Music commentary
The Piano Solo Traveler series is a composer's impression that he will travel to European countries every year since 2003 and compose piano music to express his feelings. By 2018, 15 series have been completed.

Series 8 (A Great Events) describes special events encountered in tourism. For example, I was in the middle of a tour and heard TV stations or print media from various places. I warmly reported on major disasters and a large number of casualties and disasters in various parts of the world. Shock. Therefore, the writing style is different from the previous series.

The original song was written in early 2000 to mourn the victims of Taiwan's 921 earthquake. It is now revised and extended to mourn victims of natural disasters such as wind disasters, floods, and major earthquakes and volcanic eruptions around the world.

The material used in this song combines polyphonic tunes and tonality tunes. In terms of harmony, tonal chords and color chords are also used interchangeably. And the use of extremely large sound piles to create shocking effects should be the pioneering work of the Chinese composer. The amplitude of the music intensity is also extremely expanded, from ppp to ffff, increasing the tension of the music.
