In graduate school Yunyi’s main research was in the field of Taiwanese Indigenous contemporary art development. In 2001, she moved to Taitung to collect information for her thesis. Yunyi has been devoting her passion to document, observe and expound on the development of visual arts on the east coast of Taiwan for over a decade. As an independent curator, she tries to create a platform for a variety of artists to showcase their work. The Other Woman Art Gallery focuses on sharing the compassion and free spirit of women. In 2005, in cooperation with the East Coast National Scenic Area Administration, the gallery moved to the “Moonlight Inn” on top of beautiful Dulan mountain. Since then, she has continued to work with local as well as outside artists, presenting a unique art form that speaks to the east coast atmosphere.
