Huang Shan Shan is the Director of Jut Art Museum, which is affiliated with JUT Foundation for Arts and Architecture in Taipei, Taiwan. Jut Art Museum is also a member of Chinese Association of Museums in Taiwan.

Huang was born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1979. After completing a BFA from Department of Fine Arts in the National Taiwan Normal University, she obtained her Master's degree in Culture Resource Studies and completed all credits of the corresponding PhD program at the Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology, University of Tokyo, Japan.

During her postgraduate studies, she accumulated experiences as an independent curator and published various articles in professional art and cultural publications. Shan Shan once worked for the YOKOHAMA 2005: International Triennale of Contemporary Art, did an internship in Mori Art Museum in Japan and served as a Research Fellow at the Graduate School of Arts Management and Cultural Policy in the National Taiwan University of Arts. In 2010, she joined JUT Group and oversaw the process of initial planning, founding and construction of Jut Art Museum while she worked in the JUT Foundation. Since the opening of Jut Art Museum in 2016, she has been in charge of coordinating the Museum’s operation and management, and curating part of its exhibitions. Her field of expertise encompasses museology, curatorship, and art administration.

Research Interests and Curatorial Themes:

1.Contemporary museum management and operation.
2.Urban issues: exploring various possibilities for the relationships between human and space.
3.Interdisciplinary dialogue between contemporary art and architecture as well as various forms of perceptions.
