2021 Recording: Specific Containers-Unity & Separation of Boundary

This video documents the collaboration between NCAF and Yo-Chang Art Museum in support of the exhibition project by curator Chi Chien, recipient of the Curator's Incubator Program @ Museums. It presents footage and interviews from the art venue, execution process, and curatorial experience of Specific Containers-Unity & Separation of Boundary.

The participants of the exhibition project Specific Containers-Unity & Separation of Boundary include five artists—Huang Jung-Chih, Chou Yu-Cheng, Chiu Chen-Hung, Hsu Chia-Wei, and Chi Chien, all of whom are active in the contemporary arts scene and have a wealth of creative experience, while their art involves different models of practice. This exhibition focuses on the special features of the art/residential spaces of Yo-Chang Art Museum. Through research on the participating artists' creations, collaborative projects, and a historical review of relevant literature, it is attempted to organize the stylistic features of the artists and point out the possibilities of re-disciplinarization of artistic practice in the cross-disciplinary atmosphere of contemporary art.
